Kirat Rai Society of America expresses its heartfelt condolences on the sudden
demise of Rai, MVO, MBE, who was the middle brother of Mrs. Sarita Rai, an
active member and donor, KRSA Nebraska. We (KRSA all family members) pray that
family members of deceased may find some peace and fortitude to bear the

We are saddened to hear the death of Mr. Nava Kumar Rai (Thulung), father of
Secretary of Kirat Rai Society of America Mr. Bishwa Rai. Our hearts go out to
you at this difficult time of sorrow and melancholy. May you and other family
members find some solace and comfort in the loving memories that you shared with
him. Original Village: Ripdung near Aishelu Kharka DOB Sept 23 1934 born in
Darjeeling. Finished I.Sc from North Point College. Joined the British Army.
Spent about 10 years and took a voluntary retirement. Worked with UMN in Nepal
for rest of the life till he retired in 1998. Spent the retired life Mirik,
Darjeeling,Kathmandu. and US. DOD Oct 30 2010 at B & B Hospital ( Gwarko)
Kathmandu. Burried at Bankali near Pashupati. |

Kirat Rai Society of America expresses profound condolences for our member Kala
Rai (Denver) and other family members (Chataraline, Dharan) over the sudden
demise of her mother Mrs. Laxmi Rai at the age of sixty eight years. She was
recently diagnosed with lung cancer and was passed away in Kathmandu. We pray
for the peaceful rest of her soul.

She was an outstanding advocate for the City of Dharan and made outstanding
contributions to the community of Dharan. She would be remembered as a strong
community leader and a dedicated social worker to bring changes to the City of
Dharan and its people.

It is our pleasure to inform you that, KRSA General Convention - 2007 was
successfully conducted on Saturday May 5th in New York . On the same day, Sakewa
was celebrated with many Kirat Rais from different states and guests from
various organizations.
We would like to thank all our members, participants and donors. Special thank
to New York subcommittee for greatly organizing the event. Please stay tuned for
the outcome of the convention and news on the program.
